Blitzed with the chore of finding a new spot to kick off the night, I stumbled upon Hawthorne's NY Pizza & Bar. In short order I knew I had found the right place for my friends and I.

Over on the corner of Hawthorne and 7th street is this new upscale pizza and bar joint equipped with its own unique atmosphere.

As you are walking in you are hustled by the car garage image of the exterior, but don't be fooled into thinking it's all a bunch of grease. Strictly class with all the fixin's, Hawthorne's has all the best NY style favorites. Stromboli to pizza, garlic knots and spinach pinwheels, all on a plate next to a gently baked calzone, it's a culinary artwork of Italian perfection prepared with a northern attitude. Pizza by the slice or gourmet style anyway you like it. It's not your normal take-out pizza chain.

Hawthorne's is already making a name for itself. I came by during their first week and they were slammed with curious customers trying all kinds of different orders.

Hawthorne's is a place everyone should check out soon. With its upscale and refined atmosphere, affordable prices, and great taste, there isn't a person in Charlotte that wouldn't love it.
